The Cheese Course has been an integral part of the Weston community for the past several years, serving families, couples and friends searching for a local spot to gather over what else, delicious cheese and wine.
Now, with its Midtown Miami opening, it promises to bring that same local, familiar vibe and delectable food to the surrounding neighborhood.
I can’t begin to tell you guys how much I absolutely LOVE this place. It’s the perfect spot to grab lunch with your pals, or sit outside with your date over a nice bottle of vino.
When my friend mentioned we have lunch at the new spot in Midtown on Friday, I had no idea I’d be walking into a larger version of my favorite place in Weston! Sure, enough, as soon as I saw the sign and cute umbrellas outside, I knew. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with that sweet and tangy cheese smell that makes your mouth melt. To the right, an array of wine bottles on display along with different flavored jams, snacks, desserts and a wide variety of cheeses. (I want to point out that this isn’t one of those snobby cheese places where you walk in and you feel like you have to pretend you know everything about cheese… it’s actually not intimidating at all and the staff always has something on display for you to taste.)
To the left you have the famous billboard menu which has a variety of gourmet sandwiches and salads to choose from. My personal favorite is the French Field Greens (#21) that comes with Goat cheese and dried cranberries. For the sandwiches, there are too many good ones to just choose one but here are some recommendations (#5 – Grilled Chicken Breast, #7 – Prosciutto Di Parma, #16 – Spanish Serrano Ham).
Free Grand Opening events for the Midtown Miami location will be taking on Nov. 10 (4-7pm), Nov. 12 (4-7pm), and Nov. 14 (2-5pm). Be sure to stop by for some nice cheese and wine pairings!
