With a menu that boasts recipes more than 20 years in the making, it's no wonder Fresco California Bistro rarely disappoints. From the first time my mother brought me to this quaint restaurant near downtown Miami, I knew I’d be going back frequently. I’ve had lunch meetings here, enjoyed family meals here and even celebrated anniversaries @ Cali Bistro. You’ll find a variety of menu items from pastas to salads to seafood and steaks.
And although the actual venue isn’t anything fancy, the charming outdoor seating area is an ideal setting for casual conversations over fantastic food. One of the first things that come to mind is their famous bread they serve with an olive paste upon your arrival. (The bread is baked daily on premise and you can take home a loaf for $1.99.) The second thing that comes to my mind is their Apple and Mango salad which I have 9 times out of 10. It’s a perfect blend of flavors and my mouth waters just thinking about it. Some of my other suggestions include the Shrimp and Scallop Provencale and the Chicken Picatta, but really, I’ve never had a bad meal with any of their choices.
Let me not forget the service! The owners of this restaurant have been perfecting their recipes for years after starting out in California and making their way to South Florida. Their staff make you feel right at home and greet you with a warm smile every time.
