All That Shimmers

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the brand new Elle Spa at the Eden Roc Renaissance hotel to get a first-hand experience of the Hawaiian Tropics Shimmer Effect line.

Everyone invited was treated to one of three pampering spa treatments and I decided to try out the Paraffin Hand & Foot Treatment. The Elle Spa was very inviting and an ultra-luxurious feel to its décor and setting. With warm white walls and exotic plant displays, you can tell this spa is going to be a local favorite in months to come.

The actual paraffin treatment only lasted about 30 minutes and it felt like warm wax being poured on my skin. They then wrapped my hands and feet in warm cloths as the wax-like crème settled over my skin and later peeled off. Afterwards, I was treated to a mini massage with the new Shimmer Effect line which like all Hawaiian Tropics products, smelled amazing!

As all South Florida ladies know, you don’t leave the house without wearing some lotion with some kind of SPF so I was very happy to find out they had both SPF 20 and SPF 40 available. The neatest part about the sun care lotion was the particles of shimmer that made your skin glow in a very subtle way.

Here are some photos of my treatment, spa and products:
