Chic-a Bites: 100 Montaditos in Midtown

You know I love sharing a good spot when I come across one, and to be honest, I’ve been keeping this one on the hush because I knew it was only a matter of time before it blew up!100 Montaditos is located in the heart of the Shoppes @ Midtown and if you have yet to experience their $1 dollar menu on Wednesdays, you better get ready to stand in a very, very long line. (We promise it’s worth it though!)

Making its way all the way from Spain, Cervecería 100 MONTADITOS offers locals a variety of miniature sandwiches (called montaditos) with everything from Serrano ham to salmon, grilled

chicken and roast beef. My personal favorites are the Madrid and Barcelona samplers which offer 6 different varieties of some of the more popular montaditos. While the menu offers some other items such as salads and appetizers, the main thing you will find are the mini sandwiches. I normally eat around 3 and I’m good to go… JG can easily crush 2x that amount… keep in mind these things are not that big.

I think the success behind 100 Montaditos is the simplicity of their concept. No waiters, easy menu, beer and wine (MUST HAVE their Tinto de Verano which is basically wine with lime soda and its very refeshing!) and a friendly gathering space for friends and family to enjoy small bites and a beer (or two).

So what’s so special about Wednesdays? DollarMania is what they call it – everything on their menu is $1!!! You can easily go with a group of 6 and not spend over $30 for a TON of food and beer (they only sell Mahou beer – think it’s from Spain).

See – told you it’s a fantastic deal! Just be ready to wait in a very long line on Wednesdays because it’s so great!
