So for those of you who follow me on a regular basis, have probably wondered, “What happened to Midtown Chica? She used to post so often and now we’re lucky if we get one post a week! WTH!”
Well, let me just apologize now my friends. Let’s just say life caught up with me and now between work, married life, family and friends, I’m lucky if I get one moment to myself to actually sit back, reflect and write. However, let me just say THANK YOU for those of you who still check back from time to time. I truly appreciate your support and I still get all giddy when someone tells me they “love” my blog and read it from time to time. HEART!
And now for some good news… this past week I was in NYC for the 2011 PR News Digital Awards. It’s an industry awards ceremony where companies are recognized for their PR campaigns in the digital space. So out of hundreds of entries and four finalists, my campaign #ChevyCrawls Take South Florida by Storm won Digital PR Campaign of the year (100K budget and under category)!!!
Needless to say this was a team effort (kudos to my Axis chicas, GM team, Craig and Jewel!) but it brought me personal fulfillment as I helped birth this idea from scratch! I think it goes to show that when you do something you love and with positive energy, you’ll always end up on top, no matter who tries to bring you down! ;)

Here’s a little something that came out in PR News release about the awards:
Most PR pros would say turning Facebook fans and Twitter followers into true brand devotees is a difficult task, yet Stephanie Camargo, group manager at Axis Agency, which won Best Digital PR Campaign ($100K or less), says that its #ChevyCrawls Take South Florida by Storm campaign proved that “our followers on social media are eager to get into Chevy products.”
