Last week was beyond hectic for me, but the highlight was finally getting to see the engagement pics JG and I took back in November. (read about the perfect shot)
Anyhow, I wanted to share two of my favorite pics with you guys. Let us know what you think?

Chic-a Drink of the Week
Some of Miami's finest bartenders gathered last week for an all out competition to see who could come up with the most innovative cocktail as part of the International Cocktail World Cup hosted by 42Below Vodka at WALL at the W. The winning drinks were created by Adam Delgiudic of the Florida Room and Elad Zvi, a mixologist from Bar Lab which means they get to compete in NYC next month for a chance at representing Team USA in the international competition in New Zealand.
We're rooting for our hometown guys because, well, Miami's got flaaa-vor!
Wanna try making these specialty drinks for your friends and really impress them with your bartender skills? Here are the winning recipes to try at your own risk:

The Food Truck Takeover
I still recall about a year ago when I was trying to explain to some of my friends and colleagues about the whole “Food Truck” thing and how cool the concept was, that I had seen it in NYC, LA, etc. But no one really paid attention to me! I even hosted an event with GastroPod back in March for Chevy and sure, we had a decent turnout, but nothing like I saw on Tuesday night on Biscayne and 109th for the Food Truck Gathering. There were at least a good 15-20 trucks lined up right along Biscayne and tons of people walking around trying out different food items from burgers to tacos and cupcakes. It was actually very exciting because you had all these options and people were just hanging out, mingling and eating.
I went with a friend and brought Lola with me to check it out. I’m telling you, you must go with an empty stomach because there are tons of choices to choose from! And now there are Food Truck gatherings happening everywhere… Kendall, Bayfront, in front of the Miami Herald (Street Food Fridays) and of course, all over Midtown. Just be sure to follow your favorite trucks on Twitter and Facebook so you’ll know where they’ll be next time.
Some of my favs are:

Here are some pics I took from Tues. night... Enjoy!

Free Tix Giveaway to see Los Vivancos (hot male dancers)
Hot. Shirtless. Brothers. Dancing.
Need I really say more? Okay, how about there's seven of them and they'll be dancing Flamenco style which is sexy all in itself and you can see them for free?!
Los Vivancos, as these brothers call themselves, grew up in a family (with 32 siblings!!) full of musicians so it was inevitable that they would grow up to be performers themselves. The group has traveled all over the world performing what is described as an extreme flamenco fusion show which integrates a variety of musical and dance disciplines including some of the more graceful movements from the martial arts, ballet, theater and the circus.
So whether you're a patron of dance or just want some really nice eye candy, here's your chance to win a FREE pair of tickets to see these guys perform next Wednesday, Jan. 19 @ 8:00pm at the Hard Rock Live.
All you have to do is send an email to midtownchica@gmail.com and you'll be entered to win! There will be more than one winner so your chances are good. Winners will be picked on Monday and notified by email.
Good luck guys and don't forget to give me a little ole!

1 oz DOBEL Tequila
1/2 oz amaretto liqueur
*Shake DOBEL Tequila & amaretto with ice. Strain into chocolate rimmed martini glass.

Emerald Beauty...
JG and I were watching the movie Atonement the other night and I couldn't help but obsess over Keira Knightley's emerald gown she wears in the most important scene of the movie. It is an absolutely stunning silhouette that suits Keira's elegant frame so well. The gown was created by costume designer, Jacqueline Durran, specifically for the film.
It's truly a poetic piece. Enjoy...
Honeymoon Prophecy Fulfilled
Go figure, this vacation hasn't even ended yet and I'm already thinking about the next one... But the next one will be my honeymoon so can you blame me?
After much deliberation, research and planning (mostly on my future hubby's behalf) we booked our honeymoon to a very romantic and special destination. In fact, when I was 15-years-old, I visited this country and vowed to myself I would return with my husband because I thought it was so breathtaking.
Soooo... JG and I will be spending our honeymoon in Greece, taking in all the beautiful scenery, enjoying delicious food and much more! The travel website we used to book our trip is called Travel2Greece and we loved their attention to detail and customer service so we highly recommend them if you're looking to book a trip. Let the countdown begin!
A big thank you to all who voted on our honeymoon poll!! ;)
