It's an odd feeling when you visit a place you used to call home, and although it no longer feels like home, there's this sense of attraction and desire you get deep in your core that feels a little familiar.
City Skyline from Williamsburg
Sounds like an ex-boyfriend, right? Ha, well not in this case. This is my love affair with New York City.
It's hard to believe its going to be 5 years since we moved back to South Florida, but as most people who've ever lived in the city will tell you, you never quite get over it. Now, don't get me wrong. I love Miami and the life we live here, there's just always a little piece of my heart left in NYC.
Fortunately, I still have amazing friends who live in NYC and I get to visit them every so often. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago I was up there for work and was able to spend a couple of days with some of my besties.
We did the usual: drinks, dinners, brunches, shopping and even managed to squeeze in some Williamsburg action and karaoke time in the short 48 hours I was there. It was exhilarating, fast, fun and of course very tiring (but all worth it).
