Long. Overdue. Those were the first words I uttered to Midtown Chic-a
soon after we left Meat Market on Lincoln Road.
I recently won a twitter
contest that the social media savvy restaurant conducted through twitter which
entitled us to a fabulous Prime Rib Sunday Dinner. #PrimeRibSunday
We’re not far from Lincoln Road, so we tend to visit several
times a month and I’d often comment to Midtown Chic-a that I still
couldn't believe we hadn’t had a meal at Meat Market. We arrived on an early
Sunday evening and we were the first patrons to be seated for dinner service.
The décor and ambiance was very modern and cool, the way SoBe should be. The food,
was something to write home about.
To get straight to the meat and potatoes (no pun intended),
we were served a succulent slow roasted prime rib which was brined for 24 hours
at medium temperature. Each of us had our own 18-ounce of prime rib. Accompanied by a few adult
beverages, we supplemented the meat with their delicious Gouda tater tots and
tuna tartare. Fabulous, just fabulous!
Beyond the incredible meal and fantastic location, the
service was impeccable and very personable. It also helped that even though it
got busier as the night went on, Sunday nights' are a bit slower in general for
dining out.
