Sunday, Brunch day

There’s something cozy, fun and liberating about having brunch on Sundays. Sure, Sundays are usually known as a day for worship, family time and doing last-minute errands to prepare for the work week ahead, however I like to think of them as days to indulge in French toast, eggs Benedict and mimosas.

Having Sunday brunches became a habit for JG and I when we lived in NYC and its one ritual we’ve been able to maintain in Miami.

Luckily our hood has a plethora of delicious brunch spots popping up left and right.

Here I wanted to highlight two spots we can’t get enough of lately…

Acme Bakery and Coffee
This neighborhood spot has quickly become our go-to place for Bull’s-Eye Eggs, Acme Cinnamon Toast and our dose of Panther coffee. Not only does this bakery have delicious breakfast and lunch items, their breads are to-die-for! They carefully handcraft and bake their breads in-house daily while using centuries-old recipes to create the most mouthwatering artisanal breads. This place is a must-try and the ideal spot for brunch with family and friends. Even Lola loves it here because she can sit outside and say hi to all her Midtown pup friends.

Harry’s Pizzeria
Traditionally, Harry’s focuses on (what else) pizza however, we had the pleasure of trying out their brand new Sunday Brunch a couple of weeks ago where they feature six new amazing dishes from chef Manny Sulbaran, that are simply delicious and creative. They bring a whole new definition to the Breakfast Pizza and feature concoctions that are just right for Brunch. Be sure to try the Whipped Homemade Ricotta, Short Rib Casserole and Breakfast Pizza which changes every week.

Short Rib Caserole
And because who doesn’t love day-drinking… Let me know your favorite brunch spot!
